• WE ADAPT IMMERSIVE EXHIBITION ARTWORK PURCHASE

America Has a Problem was created out of a need to confront the contradictions within a country that praises freedom but often denies truth. This body of work reflects the tension between pride and pain — how history, identity, and resilience intertwine within the Black and Caribbean experience in America.

Each painting became a form of release and resistance. I wanted to speak to the unspoken — the way systems and narratives continue to shape how we see ourselves and how we’re seen by others. Through the use of oil paint, layered textures, and bold contrasts, I explored what it means to carry both beauty and burden, and how generations before us have navigated the same struggles that still exist today.

America Has a Problem asks viewers to look deeper — to sit with discomfort, to recognize the power in truth, and to see the humanity that has too often been overlooked. This series is my way of reclaiming space, telling stories that matter, and holding up a mirror to a nation still learning how to face itself.

Featured works include America Lost Its Voice, Tuskegee Squadron, and Blooming Through It All — each capturing a distinct story within this ongoing conversation about identity, resilience, and belonging.
